A Word About GPS...
Please Note: We do not recommend using an Internet-based "road map service" (i.e. Mapquest, Google Maps, Yahoo Maps) for directions to our cabins using just our street address. None of them currently give 100% correct directions and may get you lost. The most reliable way to get here is to either use the written directions below, or directly input our coordinates (not our street address) into Google Maps and use the directions it generates. Coordinates are: 39.491944, -82.691379. If you use our street address in your GPS or Google Maps, it may route you correctly, but sometimes it does not. If your GPS tells you to turn onto Sam Carr Rd. from Thompson Ridge Rd., that is not correct. You need to turn onto Sam Carr Rd. from Hwy. 180. To get to our cabins, you almost have to go through one or several of the cities listed below. Please follow the directions from whichever city you will be going through to get here.
Ash Ridge Cabins is located in Perry Township, western Hocking County, just 3.5 miles east of Laurelville off of Hwy. 180
Directions from….
Columbus from North/East side of town: Take Hwy. 33 east from Columbus, towards Lancaster. Stay on the Hwy. 33 By-Pass around Lancaster and continue going east on Hwy. 33, towards Logan. Take the Hwy. 180 (to Laurelville) exit, and turn right (west). Go approximately 13.5 miles until you come to Sam Carr Road. Turn left on Sam Carr Road and go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Columbus from West/South side of town: Take Hwy. 23 south from Columbus, towards Circleville. Take the Hwy. 22 exit, and turn left (towards downtown Circleville). Stay straight through downtown, and it will eventually take you out of town (you will pass a Kroger on your left as you are getting close to leaving Circleville). You will stay straight and will then be on Hwy. 56. Stay on Hwy. 56 for about 15 minutes and it will bring you into Laurelville. Turn left(east) on Hwy. 180 in Laurelville, and go approximately 3.25 miles. Turn right on Sam Carr Road. Go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Cleveland: Take I-71 west/south from Cleveland (towards Columbus). Get off of I-71 onto the I-270 loop going south/east around the east side of Columbus. Get off on the Hwy. 33 east exit. Take Hwy. 33 east from Columbus, towards Lancaster. Stay on the Hwy. 33 By-Pass around Lancaster and continue going east on Hwy. 33, towards Logan. Take the Hwy. 180 (to Laurelville) exit, and turn right (west). Go approximately 13.5 miles until you come to Sam Carr Road. Turn left on Sam Carr Road and go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Cincinnati: Take Interstate 71 (I-71) northeast out of Cincinatti. Go approximately 60 miles, then exit onto Hwy. 35 and turn right (east). Take Hwy. 35 into Chillicothe, and take the Bridge St. exit. Turn left (north) on Bridge St. and take Bridge St./Hwy. 159 north out of Chillicothe. About a mile out of town you will pass Adena Hospital on the left. Continue approximately 2 more miles and turn right (east) on Hwy. 180. Go approximately 12 miles, through Adelphi (continuing on Hwy. 180 East the whole way), to Hwy. 56. Turn right for 1 mile into Laurelville. Turn left(east) on Hwy. 180 in Laurelville, and go approximately 3.25 miles. Turn right on Sam Carr Road. Go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Dayton: Take Hwy. 35 east out of Dayton, all the way to Chillicothe, and take the Bridge St. exit. Turn left (north) on Bridge St. and take Bridge St./Hwy. 159 north out of Chillicothe. About a mile out of town you will pass Adena Hospital on the left. Continue approximately 2 more miles and turn right (east) on Hwy. 180. Go approximately 12 miles, through Adelphi (continuing on Hwy. 180 East the whole way), to Hwy. 56. Turn right for 1 mile into Laurelville. Turn left(east) on Hwy. 180 in Laurelville, and go approximately 3.25 miles. Turn right on Sam Carr Road. Go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Lancaster: Take Hwy. 33 south out of Lancaster, towards Logan. Take the Hwy. 180 (to Laurelville) exit, and turn right (west). Go approximately 13.5 miles until you come to Sam Carr Road. Turn left on Sam Carr Road and go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Athens: Take Hwy. 33 north out of Athens, and go approximately 28 miles, through Logan. Take the Hwy. 180 (to Laurelville) exit, and turn left (west). Go approximately 13.5 miles until you come to Sam Carr Road. Turn left on Sam Carr Road and go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Logan: Take Hwy. 33 north out of Logan, and go approximately 5 miles. Take the Hwy. 180 (to Laurelville) exit, and turn left (west). Go approximately 13.5 miles until you come to Sam Carr Road. Turn left on Sam Carr Road and go approximately 1/4 mile until you see the Ash Ridge Cabins sign on the right.
Chillicothe: Take Bridge St./Hwy. 159 north out of Chillicothe (if on Hwy. 23 North, take the Hwy. 159 exit and turn right). About a mile out of town you will pass Adena Hospital on the left. Continue approximately 2 more miles and turn right (east) on Hwy. 180. Go approximately 12 miles, through Adelphi (continuing on Hwy. 180 East the whole way), to Hwy. 56. Turn right for 1 mile into Laurelville. Turn left(east) on Hwy. 180 in Laurelville, and go approximately 3.25 miles. Turn right on Sam Carr Road.
